Isansys wins Best Established Medtech Company Award

Isansys Lifecare has won the title of Best Established Medtech Company at the prestigious 2021 OBN Awards.

The company, based in Oxfordshire, was recognised for the development of its Patient Status Engine (PSE), an advanced remote patient monitoring platform that collects and analyses patients’ vital signs and helps inform healthcare decisions.

The technology enables timely interventions that enhance the care and safety of patients in hospital or at home by providing real-time physiological data and early warning scores, allowing medical teams to intervene before more serious problems develop.

The awards, now in their 13th year, celebrate the best of UK life sciences - outstanding innovation, fundraisers and achievements - underlining the pre-eminence of the UK sector in the global marketplace.

Georgina Horton, PR and Marketing Executive of Isansys, who collected the award on behalf of the company, said: “The Isansys team is enormously proud that our ground-breaking and innovative work has been recognised with this prestigious award.

“It not only recognises how our digital healthcare technology is delivering huge efficiencies to healthcare organisations across the world, improving patient outcomes and preventing avoidable deaths, but also the dedication and commitment of the entire Isansys team. The company is on an exciting journey and this adds to our momentum.”

Philip Campbell, commercial director for Milton Park, which sponsored the awards, added: “The judges really liked the simplicity of this product and the potential impact it will have on patients and healthcare providers. They really appreciate their (the company’s) ambitions for making healthcare more affordable.”

One judge commented: “They’ve done it the right way.”

OBN, a not-for-profit business network, provides support to innovative life sciences companies, corporate partners and investors in the UK. This year makes the 13th anniversary of its annual awards which celebrate and recognise achievements in the industry.

The winners were announced on Thursday, November 25, at a ceremony at the Ashmolean Museum in Oxford.
