Isansys named as one of the UK’s top 10 medtech companies

Isansys Lifecare has been named as one of the top 10 MedTech companies in the UK.

Running against more than 120 shortlisted companies, Isansys secured a top 10 ranking in the MedTech50 list - BusinessCloud’s competition celebrating the UK’s most innovative medtech companies - in recognition of its ground-breaking remote patient monitoring system: the Patient Status Engine.

Readers of the online technology magazine and an independent judging panel voted for the 50 trailblazing companies that develop technology to help diagnose and treat existing conditions, mostly in hospitals or clinical settings.

Isansys CEO and co-founder Keith Errey said: “We’re honoured to be sitting on the ‘MedTech 50’ list alongside a stellar line-up of start-ups, scale-ups and established companies, all developing technology to create much-needed solutions for some of the biggest issues facing the healthcare sector.

“Our mission at Isansys is to improve patient safety, while at the same time offering additional reassurance and security for healthcare staff, patients and their families.

“It is great that judges and readers have recognised the potential our patient monitoring technology has to revolutionise patient care in health settings across the world, as well as remotely in patients’ own homes. This allows for a more efficient use of hospital resources and better outcomes for patients.”

Isansys is a pioneer in the field of wearable monitoring technology. The Patient Status Engine PSE) is a unique real-time physiological data capture and analysis platform.

An all-wireless, end-to-end, Class IIa CE, UKCA, Class II FDA medical device, the PSE enables patients to be monitored from home or in any healthcare setting, including high dependency wards.

Automatically collecting and analysing patients’ vital sign data in real time, the PSE provides doctors and nurses with an early warning if a person’s health is deteriorating, allowing them to take preventative action.

The MedTech 50 ranking was voted for alongside the HealthTech50, which is focused on businesses creating technology for personal and preventative healthcare, as well as GP practice management and messaging platforms.
